On May 21, Laura Lanza, founder of Project forYou and CEO of Fluorseals, was invited to present a new program aimed at breast cancer prevention to Resitape’s many female workers. During the meeting, Matteo Panizza, CEO of Resitape, proudly announced the company’s decision to support this important initiative, which provides free annual on-site examinations and care by breast specialists. In very moving words, Lanza recounted her experience. “When I found out I had breast cancer, at first my world collapsed on me, but then I tried to do something concrete and decided to offer a prevention service to my female workers. Since then they have been benefiting from free annual breast examinations, assistance and facilitated access to specialist care. Prevention is a key element in the fight against breast cancer. In Italy, the National Health Service provides free screenings only for women over 45, so younger women are excluded from the initiative. That’s why this project is so important!” The forYou Project was founded by Laura Lanza and other women entrepreneurs from Lombardy in 2023 with the goal of doing breast prevention especially among younger women. Breast cancer is among the most common cancers among women in the world. Forty percent of those affected are under the age of 45. Resitape and Fluorseals are about to launch a joint statement titled “United in PTFE, United in Women’s Health Promotion.”
